Here's what Tricky had to say about going into the studio with Beyonce this week: "She's a professional. She loves what she does and works her [butt] off. Right now she's basically doing three to four songs a day and that's unheard of." [READ MORE] Tricky has worked with Rihanna on 'Umbrella' and Mariah Carey on 'Touch My Body' so you just know he'll be giving Beyonce his best work. This is going to be some hot Ish right there, and I so can't wait. Although Tricky is a newlywed himself, he says he and Beyonce haven't spoken to each other about their recent marital encounters *SMH* Not surprising at all. Tricky also admits that Beyonce's rapper husband Jay-Z has yet to visit the studio but he hasn't ruled it out. Say whut? A Beyonce record with no Jay-Z collaboration? That's like trifle without the jelly.
So the the alleged wedding stories that surround Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon continue to take another bizarre twist, and all the blogs and gossip sites are running with this like crazy (the desired effect that her people were hoping for).
So now it's reported that the two (who were barely seen together as a couple) married in the Bahamas where she purchased a home in Eleuthera. [READ MORE] It is also reported that guests at the wedding included Mariah's longtime pal, rapper Da Brat and that there was no pre-nup because "there wasn't time" (ahahahaha, this is DEFINITELY a publicity stunt. They may have been able to string EVERYONE along with this a little longer had they not fucked up with the "pre-nup" error). Now they've got family relatives involved in the publicity stunt. Nick Cannon's "stepmother" Linda Cannon has confirmed to E! News that the couple are, in fact, married [READ MORE]. I find it hilarious that "close sources" and "family members" are the ONLY ones to "confirm" this wedding, when BOTH their REPS and the two parties themselves have yet to even acknowledge it. I mean at least with Beyonce and Jay-Z, we knew for sure because of their wedding license that was taken out and signed afterwards. This is one HELL of a publicity stunt I'm telling you. I hope it backfires on their asses. LOL! I am just laughing right now in disbelief.
Finally, yesterday I posted Kelly Rowland's performance of Daylight when she appeared on the National Lottery Wednesday night. Just before she got on stage for that performance, she recorded a video blog and posted it straight after. In the blog, she talks about her future plans as well as addresses the on-line haters:
LOL! Come to think of it Kelly, that wig does look kinda horsey and I would tell you that to your face. And knowing Kelly, she'd take it to heart. Look at how she cut off her friend R&B singer Brandy just for keeping it real. But anyway, kudos to her for acknowledging it's a wig. Not many chicks would do that.
