I didn't really care for her performance of 'That Chick'. With Mariah making a right mockery of the song on several 'live' occasions I have somewhat come to dislike the song with a passion especially since I approved of it previously.
Her performance of 'We Belong Together' started off well but as she got further into it, she started sliding. At one time, Mariah had an enthusiastic adamancy not to lipsync any part of her performances but it seems she needs to have the backing track for her 'belting out' segments. Now she's belittled herself to vocally-challenged artists like Cassie and Ciara. The middle to end shows Mariah as a defeated woman. Go and watch the same performance when she performed it on Oprah three years ago and you'll see that Mariah put all her heart, soul and energy into it whereas with this performance, there was none.
Hmmmmm, I stay listening to oldskool early-mid 90's Mariah and can't believe her genius vocal talent has dramatically dwindled to this. The younger generation of singers who have modelled themselves after her (Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis, etc) are practically trampling over her in the vocal stakes.
