I like how they played Real Love, which was indicative of old-skool Mary, when she first walked in. Mary also made mention of her birthday. She turned 37 YESTERDAY! Who'd have guessed it eh? It's funny she she should mention her form of dancing. Pop-locking was something she claims to have done when she was growing up in the 70's. The term poplocking represented Lockers who crossed over to Popping in the mid to late 70s. At that time, it was seen as a crossover in street dance styles. I also found myself smiling when she mentioned The Robot movement. She says when she does it on stage, she is actually mimicking her mother. It's not often we see the charismatic side to Mary. It shows she has personality and I thought the interview brought her out in a positive light.
Mary's 'Just Fine' performance:
Last week, Mary's album "Growing Pains" was no 1 and this week it dropped to No. 3 having sold 89,000 copies.
