In London, Def Jam boss Antonio "L.A." Reid had some kind of listening party for Janet Jackson and Mariah Carey's new upcoming albums. They have SIX singles lined up from Mariah's new album 'That Chick' which will be released in April.
Above is a promo picture for the new CD. Inside, you can also read my version of a worded preview of Mariah's new album. I am quite annoyed at that album title though. Just simply 'Mariah' would have summed it up nicely. Even Janet took hers seriously.
Bye Bye is said to be one of those slush puppy ballads when you've lost someone that you love.
In the track, Touch My Body, Mariah warns her lover that when they're having an intimate moment, she better not catch it doing the public rounds especially on YouTube! Oh my!
To me, Migrate (which is one of the strong contenders to be the first single) strikes me as one of those girly anthems because she talks about a night out rocking jeans!
Cruise Control is a duet with Damien Marley which will have a type of reggae feel when Mariah digs into her patois side. Interesting.
The Will.i.am produced Heat is classified as one of those Hip Hop bangers. Sounds like another interesting one.
Love Story is said to be a legendary Mariah ballad but that's kind of a big statement to make since Mariah isn't singing like she use to.
Lovin' You Long Time is said to be a strutting uptempo number reminiscent to the very uptempo It's Like That.
Other confirmed tracks from the new album include That Chick, For Real, For Real and O.O.C.
