Janet Jackson claimed victory at the 39th NAACP Image Awards at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles last night. As well as presenting the 'Hall Of Fame' Award to singer Stevie Wonder, she actually won a gong herself for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for her role as Patricia in Tyler Perry's 'Why Did I Get Married?':
The 'Feedback' singer was glowing and looked great in long black gown which detailed every single curve. Toya's World favourite Alicia Keys also sweeped the musical categories with four awards, winning for Outstanding Music Video and Song for 'Like You'll See Me Again' as well as for Best Album and garnering the Outstanding Female Artist award. Big congrats to Alicia, Janet AND Chris Brown who won a gong for Best Male Artist. Chris was also a no-show.

Janet has been dating JD since 2002 and on her new album 'Discipline' she sings about the experience of having sex with multiple partners. She confesses: "I think whatever you're into, as long as you both are into it, it's cool".

Cracking stuff. As for Discipline, it seems like the new album is set to be her steamiest yet, but talking about it won't do. She needs to promote it!

On Feb 13th, Rihanna was spotted shopping at the Grove:
Rihanna's birthday isn't until Feb 20th but she had a 20th birthday bash this week which was attended by her alleged boyfriend Chris Brown and label mate Kanye West amongst others. The party, which went down at Les Deux in Hollywood, was put together by her friends where a food fight took place. When the partygoers weren't playfully flinging cupcakes, they offered a standing ovation after Chris sang an acapella version of "Happy Birthday". Chris is STILL denying that he's dating Rihanna: "We're just friends ... we hang out," he told PEOPLE at a post Grammy party but a party guest reveals that the two were cuddling and acting "very cozy all night". Yeah, friends my ass. Chris forgot to add "with benefits" as it's pretty clear the two of them have an instant attraction to one another, and for the past week the two have been inseparable. This is like the Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake situation all over again. They were dating but kept insisting they were "just friends" simply because they didn't want to upset the fans. It must be some clause in the Jive contract that doesn't allow their male heart-throb singers to admit they're dating another sexy pop singer.
