RIHANNA'S DADDY FINALLY SPEAKS OUT ABOUT HIS CRACK ADDICTION....

Rihanna's daddy Ronald Fenty has spoken out for the very first time about his crack addiction. Over the weekend, he did an exclusive interview with the UK's Sunday Mirror. Obviously, Rihanna has forgiven her father and they still have a close-knit relationship. He even goes with her on tour. The last time they were seen together was at the Grammy's over a week ago. He was in the audience as he proudly watched his daughter walk up on the stage to accept her Grammy award for Best Sung/Rap collaboration for her monster hit Umbrella. Regarding the interview about his crack addiction, here are a few interesting quotes:

"I turned and looked Rihanna in the eye and instantly came back down from the high I was on. I saw her run for her mother, ask her something and then they both started to cry. I had no idea she had been watching. It was the lowest point - life just stopped and I realized what a fool I had been".

When the Sunday Mirror tracked down the father-of-five in Bridgetown, Barbados, he was hawking tacky toys, perfume and household items from the boot of a battered Nissan car. Despite his daughter's millions, he never asks for a penny and insists he's happy in his work, which earns him around £250 (about $492 US dollars) for a seven-day week. Apparently, her father was taking crack cocaine and cannabis at only 14. He has since warned Rihanna off drugs. Though, I am shocked he still drives a battered car and hustles like the regular Joe when his daughter is now a millionaire and owns a million dollar pad in LA. I guess he doesn't want to lean on Rihanna's fame and fortune but it's pretty inspirational for any father to overcome something like that for the sake of his kids. Sadly, it costed him his marriage to Rihanna's mom where she kicked him out and hasn't looked back since. Rihanna is hoping to win Best International Female Artist at Wednesday's Brits Awards in London where she'll also be performing.
