BET AWARDS PICTURE POST....

After recuperating from being up all night before, here is the ultimate picture post surrounding last night's BET Awards. Ciara hit up the event looking cute:

My girl Rihanna is always deemed the black Britney Spears but I think Ciara rightfully earned that title last night.

Here's Alicia Keys accepting her award for Best R&B Female:

Picture taking is fun. Even when an image is taken in mid shot, you can make something look tenser than it actually is. For the record, they'd make a really odd couple. But that's never stopped Diddy pursuing his much younger protege's.

Here's some pics of Alicia on the red carpet, performing, accepting her Best R&B Female Award, and backstage in the press room:

She was definitely one of the highlights last night.

Keri Hilson looked more on the strange than stunning side when she made her Red Carpet Arrival:

I hate that mushroom hair with a passion. And the outfit is terrible. She was soooo sexy in Usher's 'Love In This Club' video. What happened?

Solange Knowles can never seem to get her look right no matter what the occasion is. Here's her Red Carpet Moment:

She also appeared on stage as well alongside Cassie and others.

Cassie also found herself on the forefront of that stage and looked pretty fierce but that's expected of Cassie:

Too bad she'll NEVER perform on that very stage for as long as her music career shall last. After all, it was a BET performance that showed her *cough* 'potential' as a performer.

Jordin Sparks and her brother were spotted in the audience hanginging and having an overall good time:

Aw, her bro is a lil cutie. And so is she.

Rihanna, who was stuck by boyfriend Chris Brown all night looked nice from the neck up but her big bird canary yellow dress didn't really sit well with me at all:

She was also rocking my favourite colour lipstick during her Red Carpet moment - Sleek's Spiced Raisin. For her performance of Take A Bow, she wore a similar (slightly different) variation of the same dress but in black. She sounded great, but the performance was bland.

Highlight of the show was Ciara dancing for her well-anticipated 20 seconds for Chris Brown's performance of 'Take U Down':

Chick sure can move. She is definitely this generation's Janet Jackson. I can't wait for her new album to drop in October (it was pushed back). Chris sure looked silly humping the shit out of thin air. He still fiiine. What I'd give to be 5-7 years younger.

Usher put on a lackluster performance of 'Love In This Club':

He sure hasn't been living up to his album title as of late. Still, I appreciate how he switched up the performance a lil.

Jennifer Hudson sure looked like Jennifer Hudson that night:

Pst!

Keyshia Cole and her collaboration hit up that stage when they both performed Keyshia's smash 'Let It Go':

Dancing really isn't Keyshia's strong forte but she certainly tried. I wasn't feeling her Red Carpet get-up either.

Ashanti and her fella Nelly also hit up the red carpet:

She looked okay. I wonder why she didn't perform that night.

Nelly also hit up the stage that night with Fergie to perform their latest collaboration 'Party People':

Ciara also joined Nelly on stage for their collaboration 'Steppin' On My J's'. Both songs will appear on Nelly's forthcoming album Brass Knuckles. I guess those Fergie pregnancy rumours will spark back up all over again.

Ne-yo hit up the red carpet with his mystery girlfriend, as well as performed latest single 'Closer':

I liked his performance. See PERFORMANCE post for more comments.

Maxwell took to the stage for a tribute performance:

He's not cute no mo :(

Former TLC singers Rozanda 'Chilli' Thomas and Tionne 'T-Boz' Watkins chilled out on the Red Carpet:

Wow. Chilli and her ex Usher at the same event. Interesting.

Other girl groups hit it up too. En Vogue and SWV were all there as they were being tributed alongside TLC:

What happened to Coko? She totally blew up. At least she ditched the nails. Taj still looks pretty. She hasn't changed. I want another album from them.

Other R&B acts who hit up the scene....

In chronological order, John Legend, Jill Scott, Spice Girl Mel B, Tyrese and Eric Benet with his chick.

More R&B acts who hit up the event:

Chrisette Michele, Teena Marie, Bobby Valentino, Joe and Musiq Soulchild. It wasn't a great show but there's always room for improvement.
