RIHANNA: 'GOOD GIRL GONE BAD' LIVE [MANCHESTER ARENA DVD PERFORMANCES]....

This week, Rihanna's re-release 'Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded' hit stores and she was everywhere promoting it. On the CD it features three new songs AND four performances from her Manchester 'Good Girl Gone Bad' concert. The album is predicted to sell in the 50K range which isn't as bad as it looks considering that it's a re-release. Rihanna's concert was also released this week as well (June 17th) and apparently, someone uploaded the whole entire concert to YouTube. After watching it in full, a lot of the performances lacked the energy and charisma that many of the songs required. Instead of letting all her dancers do all the work, she could have moved around and danced a lot more considering that people PAY to see HER perform and not her dancers. Vocally, in some parts, she was pitchy and a little all over the place, but she still put on a semi-decent show for the most part. The first half of the concert was much more lively than the second half. My favourite performances were Pon De Replay, Break It Off, Breakin Dishes and Let Me. She murdered that Bob Marley classic though. I'm a Rihanna fan and I've made that no secret (despite getting a lot of flack for it), but I don't think the concert was all that electrifying to actually go out and buy it, lol. So even though I'm a fan, I still know how to keep it real. It's the same with Mariah Carey. You love her music and she comes with the heat with the singles BUT you just wouldn't sit through her concert. The only concert I'm waiting for to hit DVD is Alicia's 'As I Am' tour. I would definitely buy it. Anyway, all the performances from Rihanna's Good Girl Gone Bad DVD are after the cut.
