That's a really nice picture of Beyonce. But it's not all good news for the Queen B. Earlier this month, Newsweek reported that Beyonce's House of Dereon line has "failed to catch fire" with women. And they also note that other celebrity clothing lines by the Olsen twins, Gwen Stefani and Jennifer Lopez are still getting that dough: Despite millions of dollars worth of media exposure, including a debut on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show', Beyoncé's House of Dereon line has failed to catch fire with consumers. No matter how famous the product's provenance, if it fails to impress women on its own merits it begins to resemble a cynical exercise in self-promotional marketing. Ouch!

Yesterday, Robin Thicke paid a visit to the TRL studios in New York City to do some promotion for new single 'Magic' and new album 'Something Else':

The blue-eyed Soul singer was looking totally lush. His forthcoming album 'Something Else' has a new release date and will now drop on Sept 30th. You just know I can't wait.

Another R&B singer to hit up TRL was Lloyd:

If I was to cross paths with him in a dark street I'd be skurred. The singer was at TRL to do further promotion for new album 'Lesson of Love' which was released yesterday in the United States. I haven't been too pressed or excited about his album which is why I haven't listened to it yet despite it leaking 3 weeks ago. I'll get onto it this week so that I can write up the album review. Judging by the leaked material that I've heard so far, I can't say I'm looking forwards to it.

He also had an Album Release Party last night for the new CD which took place at club Prime in New York City. Teyanna Taylor showed up as well:

Alicia Keys and the Pussycat Dolls both performed at Singapore's music festival SINGfest 2008 on Sunday:

And it's reported that Alicia upset fans when she kept them waiting a looong time for her set. But worst of all, her artiste management were really rude and fans who actually won a competition to meet the singer were denied any opportunity of the sort. Read the report: When Alicia Keys finally took to the stage as the closing act of SINGfest 08, she was nearly 2 hours behind schedule. In fact, even after the Pussycat Dolls sang their last notes past 11pm, she was no where to be seen backstage, where a group of her fans had been waiting patiently for her to show up at a meet-and-greet, which was scheduled to happen at 9pm. "Oh my God, the Dolls are playing! Why isn't Alicia here yet," several fans could be heard complaining, as they were herded around into groups of 7, then 8, then 9, by her artiste management. There was even a big hoo-ha over the difference between pink and purple backstage passes.UrbanWire was there to try and get some exclusive coverage just for you. Unfortunately, we were rudely (and roughly) chased out by Alicia's artiste management on several occasions, who even tried to bar some fans, who had won the chance to meet Alicia in person, from meeting her. Even when she finally arrived, the fans barely had 20 seconds with her, being herded into the media tent for photos, and back out even before they could do so much as to shake her hand. Luckily, the fans were pretty forgiving. "She was actually really sweet and tried to shake each of our hands. But they [her artiste management] chased us out before she could," Heineken Green Room competition winner Julian Lim told UrbanWire as he clutched his unautographed 'As I Am' sadly. "She's really not a diva at all," he said. So, does Alicia Keys need a better artiste management? Yes, she does.
