BRITNEY TO PERFORM ON 'THE X-FACTOR'?.....

According to UK tabloid The Sun, Britney Spears will perform her new single 'Womanizer' on the show that launched international phenomena Leona Lewis. She will reportedly perform the song in December during the live heats of the X-Factor:

A source from The X Factor said: "Everyone is thrilled. To have Britney involved is a massive coup. They expect ratings to go through the roof when her performance airs".

Should we put this down as rumours until Britney's manager Larry Rudolph actually confirms this? I mean The Sun has just as much credibility as Media Takeout. However, the X-Factor is the biggest show in the UK and Britney would probably want to reclaim back her glory over here so you never know. Also, Britney's forthcoming album 'Circus' releases in December as well, so it would certainly be a sales puller.

I may as well use this post to discuss the very-questionable Britney track that was floating around the Internets yesterday. The song is titled 'Candy From A Stranger'. Although it has a Britney-esque feel to it (Break The Ice?), the song is more on the lines of a Britney feature than an actual Britney-owned song, and it just didn't sound like her to me. Vocoded vocals and all. This song is actually by Myah Marie.

Britney's lead single 'Womanizer' will impact radio on Monday (Sept 22nd). Four days to go folks.....
