Christina Milian is in the studio finishing up her fourth as-yet-untitled album, which will be released on MySpace Records in 2009. The first single, a ballad called 'Us Against the World,' will premiere this month.Christina was never acclaimed as a respected recording artist. I think the vomit-inducing 'AM to PM' may have had a lot to do with Christina's musical career somewhat being seen as a huge joke. And being signed to a record label called MySpace Records is doing her no favours. I do like her take on the term "pop-urban-international" to emphasise how her sound will be more pop-dominated with lots of commercial appeal. And having Kanye West on board is in deed a good look. I'm not liking the sound of a ballad for lead single when Christina has never been admired for her vocals (except for her beauty) but we'll see how this all pans out.
"It's very feminine," Christina told Rap-Up.com about her first album since 2006's 'So Amazin'. "I find that there's been a lot of maturity in my vocals. [So Amazin'] was a little more urban-pop, so this one is pop-urban-international."
The 26-year-old is working with Cool & Dre, who produced the bulk of her last album, as well as Mad Scientist (Nicole Scherzinger's "Supervillain"). Kanye West produced and is featured on a track, while Pitbull also makes an appearance. SOURCE
