NE-YO'S LIFE STORY TO HIT THE MOVIES.....

Ne-yo thinks he's super-star enough to get a movie based around his life-story or close enough to it anyway. The consistently-cocky 26-year-old singer/songwriter reveals a bit about the movie and what we can expect from it....

R&B star Ne-Yo is following in the footsteps of Eminem by planning a movie based on his life story. The singer/songwriter - who has been involved in the moviemaking process and will star in the film - likens the project to Eminem’s 2002 movie 8 Mile, which was based on the rapper’s own rise to fame. “We are putting together the (film) right now as we speak, as a matter of fact. The name of the movie is Venice Beach and basically it’s going to be my 8 Mile, loosely based on (my) life, but not really,” said Ne-Yo. SOURCE

So I'm taking it the story will be half fact and half fiction. I can't really see this movie creating any buzz. Ne-yo is obviously a very talented bloke. Whilst he's been EXTREMELY successful on the music front, he's not exactly Eminem. I mean Em was one of those artists who broke records and folks wanted to know about his story because he was a white rapper dominating a black field. Unless the movie involves a coming out of the closet storyline which reveals why he's a tooty "how ya doin'" fruity.....
