Solange Knowles has taken to blogging quite a lot lately. Whether it's addressing the "haters", revealing her latest goals and ambitions or informing us on what to expect from her future musical endeavors, Solange likes to keep us in the know. Here is another brand new promo picture she posted via her Myspace page. It's pretty much the same photoshoot as the last one but the facial and body positioning is different - slightly. She knows ya'll have been clowning her yellow make-up because she dignified the picture with the following statement: "YEAH, I LIKE YELLOW.... ALOT"

As well as the new promo pic, Solange also posted a brand new track on her page called Sandcastle Disco. She says that her new album 'SOL-Angel and the Hadley Street Dreams' (out August 26th) epitomes her inspiration for music of the 60's and 70's. The upbeat track which features on the new album does have a 70's Motown feel to it. Kudos to her for not feeling the pressure to follow trends. I know that going this direction is a big risk which is what cements her as an evolving artist. You can check out her latest blog entry after the cut.

ONE DAY AT THE BEAUTIFUL BEACH, WATCHING THE OCEAN CRASH INTO WAVES AND THE SKY CHANGE FROM DAY TO NIGHT AND THE SUN SET AND THE MOON RISE SHOWED ME THIS MIRACLE WE CALLED LIFE IS BRAND NEW AGAIN FOR ME.

WE SPEND SO MUCH TIME FOCUSING ON THE FRAGILE AND DELICATE THINGS IN LIFE
THAT WE FORGET THAT GRAVITY IS HOLDING US UP AT THIS VERY MOMENT, THAT OCEANS ARE ENDLESS, AND THERES AN ENTIRE LIFE UNDER THE SEAS THAT WE DONT EVEN KNOW ABOUT.

LAST WEEK, I RELEASED MY 1RST SINGLE, “I DECIDED” ON THE PAGE. (THERE HAD BEEN MINI SNIPPETS AND LONGER MINI SNIPPETS SURFING AROUND THE WEB, AND THIS IS THE FULL VERSION)

THERE HAVE BEEN HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDTHS PEOPLE WHO HAVE HEARD IT AND SO MANY OF YOU HAVE SHOWN QUITE A KEEN REACTION. BIG THANKS!

I HAVE BEEN SO INSPIRED BY THE MUSIC OF THE 60′S AND THE 70′S AND IT DEFINITELY SHOWCASES IN THIS RECORD. I MADE THIS RECORD PREPARED KNOWING THIS ISN’T YOUR TYPICAL FORMATED “RADIO SONG” AND THERES NOT MUCH OUT LIKE IT NOW ,BUT IT FELT SO GOOD AND NATURAL FOR ME IM RUNNING WITH IT. PHARRELL GAVE ME THE BLESSING OF THE RECORD AND FROM THE MINUTE I RECORDED IT, IT WAS SOMETHING ABOUT THE SIMPLICITY AND THE UPBEAT VIBE THAT JUST MADE ME FEEL GOOD ABOUT IT. I HAVE FAITH THAT PEOPLE ARE READY FOR A CHANGE AND DIVERSITY AND AN INTELLIGENT EAR AND I HOPE THIS RECORD CAN FIT INTO THAT MOLD.
