The super hard rock theme definetely has that James Bond sound but I don't think Alicia's voice cuts it all that well on the track, almost as if the song was too big for her. And yes, there ARE songs that can be considered too big for the extremely talented Ms Keys, as she possibly took on more than she could handle. White himself wrote and produced the new theme song and plays drums on it as well.
I'm thinking Pink or Amy Winehouse would have nailed this song with flying colours. Pink would have killed it because this style is more up her alley so therefore she'd know how to execute it accordingly. It's just a shame Amy couldn't get her shit together to record it also. I was extremely happy that my girl Alicia got this gig though because it truly is a big deal and careful consideration was put into who should sing it; candidates including Beyonce Knowles, Leona Lewis and Duffy.
