CHRISTINA AGUILERA TO PERFORM NEW SINGLE AT VMAS.....

Christina Aguilera will perform her new single 'Keeps Gettin' Better', from her forthcoming best-of collection 'Keeps Gettin' Better - A Decade of Hits' at this Sunday's MTV VMAs. The album is slated for a Nov 11th release via RCA. The track goes to top 40 radio on Sept. 22nd....

On her forthcoming project, the 28-year-old says:
"You're going to get a first look and a first listen at my new image and my new sound. The last album, the style and sound was about vintage glam — this one is all about the future."
The forthcoming project will feature new songs including a confirmed track called 'Dynamite' as well as the title track, plus re-recorded versions of her prior hits 'Genie in a Bottle' and 'Beautiful'. The set will also contain all four of the pop star's No. 1 hits: 'Genie In A Bottle', 'Baby Come on Over (All I Want Is You)', 'What a Girl Wants' and 'Lady Marmalade'. It is also noted that the singer is at work on the follow-up to her 2006 album 'Back to Basics' but no release date has yet been announced. Hmmmm, how many hits has she had to actually compile a Greatest Hits album? I wouldn't think it was enough since I can only recall 'Lady Marmalade', 'Genie', 'What A Girl Wants', 'Turn To You', 'Baby Come On Over', 'Beautiful' and 'Aint No Other Man' being really successful. I guess the new single will give us a taster as to what to expect from her next album since she says her sound will be more "futuristic?". I loved 'Stripped' from beginning to end but I only liked a handful of tracks on 'Back to Basics' so it will be interesting to see what she hatches up this time round.
