I have written several posts where Janet has been more than vocal about her frustration with the label. Her declining relationship with them such as their disagreements with single choices has been brewing over the last couple of months. That as well as their decision not to release or fund any more video's from the project. We can pretty much say we saw this coming. It's not really news to us that Janet has officially left the label especially since the singer said with her own mouth that she can't ever see herself working with them again. It'll be interesting to see what label will snap her up this time because she had issues with previous record labels and this is only harming any enthusiasm for another big label to take her on. As well as that, she is only further destroying her legacy by leaving a long string of flop albums in her wake. Janet Jackson's pal and producer Rodney 'Darkchild' Jerkins has exclusively revealed to Rap-Up that the 42-year-old singer has departed from her label Island Def Jam, after only releasing one album - the poor performing 'Discipline'. Check out the official confirmation below:
