Mariah Carey will now release 'Migrate' as the next single from her poorly-recieved album E=MC², shortly after it was announced that they were going with 'That Chick'. It seems somebody has an open ear regarding the online responses to the poorly made single choices....
The decision to put out 'That Chick' was met with much crititism and now the fan-favourite 'Migrate' has been chosen to be released on Sept 30th. I personally think they left it too little too late. They should have put it out when it mattered most - after 'Touch My Body' when the hype and buzz was still sizzling. Not to mention that it was a cute lil summer anthem.
I'm sure her album would have done a LOT better and not have stalled at 1.1 million when she should have been closer to the double platinum mark given her status and the success of 'Emancipation' (which shitted on E=MC² altogether).
I don't think releasing Migrate will make that bit of difference either way as it's staler than a mouldy piece of year-old bread. But if there's a chance that it will ressurrect life in the now lifeless E=MC², anything is possible.
