CHRIS BROWN'S LATEST MOVIE GIG // NEW-ISH MUSIC.....

Chris Brown is set to star in another Screen Gems production. He is currently negotiating a deal to act alongside Matt Dillon, Idris Elba and rapper T.I. in the thriller "Bone Deep". He is also in talks to executive produce the movie as well. If the deal goes through, it will be the singer's fourth film with Screen Gems, the Sony specialty label (he had roles in Stomp The Yard which grossed more than $60 million at the domestic Box Office, he co-starred in November's holiday film This Christmas, which brought in $49 million and he is also set to star in the studio's sports drama Phenom).

Here's a synopsis of the forthcoming plot for Bone Deep: The film, directed by John Lussenhop,
revolves around a group of criminals who plan a major heist at a money depot, with two detectives hot on their trail. The singer is expected to play one of the members of the heist crew. This new movie sounds like a male version of Set It Off if you ask me. Screen Gems is no stranger to duplicating classic plotlines from the past. Beyonce's forthcoming movie Obsessed is a bootlegged (urbanized) version of Fatal Attraction. That too is a Screen Gems production, features Idris Elba as well AND executed-produced by the 26-year-old R&B singer. Do ya'll see a pattern forming? I certainly do. But kudos to Chris for expanding his business ventures outside of music.

Recently, the 19-year-old received 10 Teen Choice Nominations - the most nods of any Teen Choice Awards nominee. His latest song Forever peaked at #7 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart this week. And his songs always make top 5 (including his duet with label mate Jordin Sparks -- No Air) and has sold over 1.5 million albums and over 4 million digital songs with Forever, With You, Kiss Kiss and Take You Down. Chris is also riding high on the Top 10 UK and Album chart with re-release Exclusive: The Forever Edition and latest singles Forever and No Air. His single With You also cracked UK top 10 recently.

On the music front, a couple of Chris Brown 'Unreleased/Bonus' tracks have surfaced this week. Some of them leaked a while back but only in snippet form. You can check out Fatal Attraction, M.I.A., Back 2 Back and First Day Of Spring by clicking here.
